I made myself this dress late last night, partly inspired by this fantastic piece of Marimekko cotton which Mervi kindly sent me from Finland. I love the colours and the geometric print it feels very to me, and i think the dress will be nice with a cardigan and jacket over wool pants for autumn. (i also found these prints while looking around the marimekko site i find them very inspiring.)



I used dark brown bias tape around the neck and arm openings, and the pattern is from this Japanese book: Couture Stylish Dress Book (ISBN 9784579111855)



I ordered it from here and I pretty thrilled to own this book. The styling is bailey button uggs so nice sort of a crochet lace and teaparty theme and it has 26 patterns for beautiful dresses. I already dreaming of the next one to make.
